New Advisory Team Defining Exciting AppForum Conference

Posted on by Greg Cholmondeley | No Comments »

The date for AppForum has been changed to May 11-13 at Harrah’s in Las Vegas and it is going to be a great event. I know this because we now have a terrific team of people engaged to define and deliver the content. This year we’ve invited key PODi members to help shape the conference and look who’s stepped up:

  • Chuck Ellis (Accu-Print, TX)
  • Ted Raymond (Allegra Print & Imaging – Scottsdale, AZ)
  • Jessica Eng (Alliance Franchise Brands)
  • Dan Linn (BC Print & Web)
  • Bob Berland (Berland Communications)
  • Christopher Wright (BlueSkyETO)
  • Chuck Barnett (BMDM)
  • Amanda Bass (Communicorp Inc.)
  • Scott Bussert (DataMart Direct)
  • Randy Herron (Herron Printing & Graphics)
  • Kathi Woolsey (ImageSet)
  • Jan Lerner (Lexinet)
  • Waleed Ashoo (LithExcel)
  • Hayden Hamilton (Magna IV)
  • Judd Plattenburg (Oregon Printing)
  • Bob Bennitt & Randy Marquis (Pace Marketing Communications)
  • Mark Zimmer (Print Avenue)
  • Tom Veitch (Standard Group)
  • Bob White (TGI Direct)
  • Joe Foley (The Foley Group)
  • James Lenartz (Traxion Div of Ripon Printing)

These are some of the thought leaders in the industry representing sales and operations for small to large operations. Many of these firms are already Marketing Services Providers while some are transitioning – so they have a tremendous perspective on what is needed and how to deliver it. The fact that top executives from over 20 companies agreed to participate on such a team with very short notice is a great indicator of their excitement level.

We’ve had our first meetings and already we’re discussing how to reshape the conference in several ways. We’re exploring how to:

  • Provide in-depth training on how smaller operations can transition into marketing services.
  • Continue to provide solutions sales training
  • Add in-depth tracks for selling and implementing solutions for key vertical markets
  • Adapt session delivery formats to those which best meet the subject matter: Presentations, Workshops, Panels and Structured Discussions

May is quickly approaching and we’re going to be moving fast to finalize the sessions, identify speakers, and inform you so that we can have a full house. Stay tuned to www.appforum.org for more info in the coming week!
